We’re excited to introduce Aleeya Cain, our new Associate Consultant! Learn more about her background, current role, and what she would do with one extra hour a day in this interview.

Tell us about your role at Holistic. What do you do?

I am absolutely ecstatic to join the Holistic family as an associate consultant. In this role, I will be supporting our awesome client team with a variety of different tasks. I'm so excited for this opportunity to learn and grow at Holistic!

Tell us about your background. How did you end up here?

I am an Arkansas native (with the Southern accent to prove it). I recently graduated from Hendrix College with a B.A. in Psychology and I will be pursuing my Masters in Management at Wake Forest this July. I have always had a passion for inclusivity and positive psychology. I also always knew that my dream job would involve incorporating the two to make the workplace a safe and enjoyable space. So, when my childhood friend, Kat Williams, told me about Holistic, it felt like a dream come true (cliche but accurate).

What makes you excited about working for Holistic?

Like I mentioned above, I'm passionate about what Holistic does and values. I also absolutely love everyone on the team. I've never met a group of people so dedicated to ensuring others have a safe place. Plus, everyone is so lovely and kind. It truly feels like a small family. I've only been a member of the team for a few days, but I can already tell that Holistic is a great place to learn.

In your mind what does a great employee experience look like?

I think that a large part of a "great employee experience" begins within. You have to be passionate about your work. Then you have to find a place that waters your passion while allowing room for you to blossom.

Who is someone you admire?

I admire my mother. She's an incredibly strong woman: she adopted my brother and me when doctors told her that we would be too much to handle, she raised us by herself, supported us through homelessness, and loved us unconditionally. Through her, I have learned to never settle and, in her words, "stop stressing so much."

What do you do for fun?

I love reading. I literally consume books regardless of the genre. I also love to be artsy whenever I get the chance. My friends and I love to spend time creating things together (from Poptart "gingerbread" houses to embroidered sweatshirts).

If you had an extra hour each day, what would you do with it?

This is such a difficult question to answer. I think an extra hour a day would give me time to slow down and de-stress. So, I would probably do something calming. But, knowing myself, I would probably just spend the time reading.

Thank you for all that you do, Aleeya!
