Welcome, Anne!

We’re excited to introduce Anne, one of our winter interns! Learn more about her role as an intern, what her career goals look like, and who she admires most.

Tell us about your role as an intern at Holistic. What do you do? Who do you work with?

I’m primarily working in a client-facing role at Holistic, where I’ll be supporting the amazing consultants & associate consultants, but I’m also always happy to hop onto projects for any other teams! So far, it's been incredible to work more closely with Tanja, Guthrie, and Sarah. In just my first week, I've already been able to start tackling projects like refining Holistic’s process guide and helping create a consultant audit.

Where do you currently go to school? What do you study? Can you share a few of your career goals with us?

I’m currently a junior at Northwestern University. I’m majoring in Learning and Organizational Change with a minor in Entrepreneurship and a Certificate in Civic Engagement. I’ve been interested in exploring various roles related to change management, consulting, people & culture, and social improvement. In terms of my career, this could mean such a wide range of possibilities and areas, which I love! In general, I want to continue embracing people-centered work at mission-driven businesses that care about their communities and their social impact.

What makes you excited about working for Holistic?

The unbelievably warm and talented team! The positivity, empathy, and passion here at Holistic is so special. It's obvious everyone cares deeply about each other and their work. It’s also exciting to know that whatever projects I have will be so meaningful, as everything is ultimately centered around supporting Holistic's DEI mission.

What do you do for fun?

I love being outdoors. I’m always trying to find new hiking trails, and I want to explore as many national and state parks as possible. I have the best time going on trips and spending time in nature with family and friends. I also enjoy painting and trying all kinds of new crafts! Basically anything art-related. I’m hoping to take a pottery class soon.

Who is someone you admire?

I admire my mom and her mental resilience. She has always encouraged me and my brother to prioritize our mental and emotional well-being, so I feel fortunate to have had that kind of support. I’m also inspired by her compassion, seeing the way she whole-heartedly cares about her students, colleagues, and friends.

What are you listening to at the moment? Watching? Obsessed with?

I’m someone who loves rewatching shows and movies, so I recently rewatched Schitt’s Creek and am now rewatching WandaVision! I've also always had a bit of an obsession with psychological thrillers and horror movies in general (Some all-time favorites: Midsommar, The Descent, Train to Busan, El Orfanato, Us).
